accesible and high grade
Can't go wrong with Canson as a hobby artist. It's durable, tolerates water color, pastel, and pencil really well. This brand made art paper accessible to me, and I keep going back to it.

The best for art journaling
I love the size and feel of this journal and its pages, which are white and smooth. The perforations are quite sturdy so no worries about pages falling out when you don't want them to. It takes dry techniques with water color but this paper is not appropriate for wet techniques because the paint does not move and blend properly. When I want to do wet techniques I put some transparent watercolor ground on the page (to add sizing that it needs for wet techniques) so it's fine. The paper does buckle a bit but I like that, and not much at all for 98 lb paper taking a lot of working over.

Good paper quality, but it definitely isn't what I would consider to be XL sheets of paper. Partially my fault for not reading the dimensions more carefully, but I would definitely say that the descriptor is a bit misleading.

Very Nice
I love this brand. I use their mix media pads and watercolor pads. They both have thicker paper with a decent amount of texture. I use the mix media pads for drawing, calligraphy and ink drawings. I have even used my watercolor paints on them.
